The Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research is a unique 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds
for highly-focussed research in the field of early detection and prevention of women's cancers. Created in 1998 in memory
of Lynne Cohen by her three daughters (then in their twenties), the Lynne Cohen Foundation is dedicated to providing
state-of-the-art patient care for women and families at increased-risk of breast and ovarian cancer through the Lynne
Cohen Preventive Care Programs; supporting research aimed at finding an ovarian cancer early detection test; and to
funding highly-focussed, multi-institutional research which will lead to effective prevention strategies and interventions
to improve the quality of life and survival rates of women with breast and ovarian cancer.

Project Goal
The long-term goal of this project is to support and facilitate cross-institutional research which will
lead to effective prevention strategies and interventions to eliminate the morbidity and mortality due to
ovarian and breast cancers. The immediate goal of the Lynne Cohen Registry is to collect information on
patients who have been seen at any one of Lynne Cohen Consortium of Prevention Clinics: USC/Norris
Comprehensive Cancer Center, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, NYU Cancer Center, and the University of Alabama
Cancer Center.
